Random Photo Day

Since I don't have anything remotely interesting to say today I'll just post these pics I once made on various vacations.

Oh, These Are The Unproductive Days...

Hi all,

I've got a couple o' days off from school, well actually I'm supposed to spend them doing something for school but whatevs right, so today I was at home. And I'm proud to report that today was a 0% productivity-day....which isn't that interesting at all however I've been reading Lauren Weisbergers, I think, second novel called "Everyone Worth Knowing" in English. However, in a instant overdose of The Devil Wears Prada-esque after-translation-to-Dutch-titles the book is called...wait for it..."Gossip & Gucci" in Dutch. Yes the title "The Devil Wears Prada" is catchy but this just seems stale. Though critics haven't been favorable of the book, I actually quite liked it, I mean obviously not in a scientific or culturally valuable way but it does give some insight in what happens in the NY-based celebworld of which we've all caught a glimpse on Sex and the City (movie next year, yay!).

'nyways, on a more internet-related note I found out today about a blog by my favourite ex-TVgasm blogger namely "B-Side". He's opened a new blog and his amazing wit is noticeable...well everywhere (starting with a personal favourite: the in-flight blog YAY!). I'll include a link on the right column of my blog. Be sure to check him out!

That's all for today,

--EDIT--
I'll add a great semi-chill-out/funk track to describe my current mood.

Italo Disco's In Orbit

Hi all,

After listening to a lot of Spice Girls songs today, yes I admit I was and apparently still am semi-addicted to their songs, but eventually I was browsing through my collection when I suddenly stumbled upon a song I obtained recently. Why yes it's Cloetta Paris, a new italo-disco vocalist with quite some catchy tracks. So If you're a fan of Sally Shapiro, a wider known and more established italo disco artist, you'll love her as well.

That's it for today,

Escapism Evenings

Nothing's better than sitting around and listening to an artist that makes you dream of blue skies with some clouds, floating you to a place you can only dream of. Well, Ivy is just the sort of artist that makes you, well actually me personally, get that feeling. The last couple of years their tracks have been featured on a lot of TV-shows e.g. Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy and other indie-loving shows. Anyway, just thought I'd give the non-Ivy listener amongst you a little idea of what they sound like. Nothing but the Sky is the opening track of their latest album In The Clear (2005). Though not my favourite track of this album it's one piece of excellence.

I'm out,

Morna Moods

When I look out of the window the only thing I see is a grey sky, rain and strong winds. So as to elevate my mood I'm playing warm music and what better way than with the epic Cesária Évora. For those of you that don't know her she's a Cape Verdean folk singer whom sings primarily in Cape Verdean Creole (derived from Portuguese). I found this video on YouTube and it's a must-watch! Enjoy

I'm out!
